During our estate planning consult, we will discuss the purpose of a trust and whether your estate planning goals and needs might warrant a trust. Generally speaking, most trusts control what happens after your death. Trusts are not the only way to avoid probate. Honestly, they can be complicated, expensive, and may have tax implications.

If you choose a trust, you need to decide what type of trust. For example, it might be a pourover trust or a revocable trust.

Probate

Tammy can assist you in a probate matter by assisting with the probate process after a loved one dies. This includes getting appointed as a personal representative through the court all the way through distributing and closing the estate.

Estate Planning

It is never too early to get your estate in order. At the very least, a good estate plan includes a Last Will and Testament and powers of attorney.

Every estate plan that our law office drafts is personalized to you and your family. To the extent possible, the documents are also reader friendly.

Do not worry. Clients young and old, tech-savvy or not, can handle virtual law services with ease. Best of all, it happens from the comfort of your own home!

After you schedule your consult over the phone or internet, we will have our initial meeting via Zoom. Then, documents are drafted and sent to you for review and electronic signatures. All documents are shared through secure software that is easy to use and access.

Throughout your case, we communicate through email, secure text, Zoom, or by phone.

When documents need to be notarized, you will be connected with a notary online.

For estate plans, once documents are signed and notarized, I will print them and mail them to you with copies in a nice package.
